Wall-mounted installations

From 2023 onwards, Philip Gillet developed a new approach that eliminated the fixed framework in favor of a more fluid and evolving assemblage. The notions of flow, recurrence, rhythm, temporality of memory, and intuition inform this process.

Individually, the squares constitute an autonomous work, while also contributing to a larger composition when assembled. Hundreds of 40 x 40 cm panels are painted, at a rate of 48 per session. Each session explores a range of tones and colors, from dark and nocturnal moods to vibrant hues. Several types of wall installations or compositions are proposed based on this concept. The blank page is traversed by metal profile supports, remnants of the traditional frame, like a blank score.
